The Toughest One Day Ride In The USA!
The Death Ride Challenge is more than a cycling challenge; it is a test of will. A conversation with one’s own faith of spirit to endure. The confidence gained by persevering in the face of hardship and exhaustion serves one in all facets of life.
Started by a handful of Durango cyclists in 1980 the "Death Ride" as they called it at the time, is now an annual one-day cycling event to support ALS TDI (ALS Therapy Development Institute) and the Blazeman Foundation for ALS, Inc, MA (War On ALS). This 225-mile ride is considered the Toughest One Day Ride in the USA. Traversing the same route as the Death Ride Tour, the Death Ride Challenge climbs 5 mountain passes along the San Juan Skyway in Southwestern Colorado. The DRC starts in Durango, Colorado and passes through Silverton, Colorado, Telluride, Colorado and back to Durango!
Join us for an event that will change your life as well as those affected by ALS.
