The Breen loop is 33 miles long with 2,200′ of climbing.
The Tuesday ride is going to try an alternative to just one fixed ride.
Alternate each Tuesday between the following two routes:
1st/3rd Tuesday-Meet at Iron Horse Inn north to Trimble right and over to 250 then up Shalona down 550 and over to Tardo (this can be extended north in the summer) return via 203. This route will put us on 550 and a wide shoulder before going to CR 250 further north where traffic does start to reduce.
2nd/4th Tuesday- Meet at Schneider Park up 160 to Hesperus then Breen Loop (can be extended in summer months to Mayday/Cherry creek etc. for those looking for a longer ride).
Splits will be firm with A/B+ going out first followed by two other groups depending on number of riders. 5 minute regroups at the top of climbs for each group. We are counting on everyone to ride with those in comparable skill and ability to make for safe, effective rides.
**IMPORTANT: All participants in DWC group rides are reminded that we are riding on open roads and you must obey traffic laws at all times. Colorado Law states we are allowed to ride a MAXIMUM of 2 abreast and only when we are not impeding traffic. When in doubt ride single file!
